AxisOfEasy Salon #21: We need a fix, and nobody can fix it

The band got back together and “the boys were back in town” as we held the first salon with all three of us present since #18 in Mid-August. We continued on our theme of the chaotic transition from the Age of the Nation State to the forthcoming era of The Network State and it’s still up for grabs what that will look like.

  1. C’mon Jessie, you’re no commie. I have known self-described communists. Scratch them the right way and you see they want real blood to flow.

  2. I just wanted to point out two things. The first is I heard an interview with Jerome Powell the other day where he said the most important asset people have is not their home but their job. I’ll let that sink in. Then you had a discussion a few weeks ago regarding Fortnite/Epic Games. It was mentioned that you can buy upgrades that make you more powerful. Just want to set you straight since I have a 10 year old. Every game of fortnite starts with every player being the same strength from start to finish. My son buys outfits and dances and characters. It is not possible to power yourself up . . . meaning the game play is based purely on skill. Just to pound this home, the most successful game in the world to date does not allow players to buy their way to strength. It is a pure meritocracy regarding wins and such. To me this throws the whole idea of how video games are currently marketed out the window. They have completely thrown away the pay to play algorithm.

  3. Spot on program this episode. Describes the real time situation unfolding here in Illinois. Quite thought provoking and creepy at the same time. You guys are a modern day group version of Napoleon Hill. Keep up the good work – I look forward to your next program and I will order Charles new book!

  4. Covid is boomer remover so millenial’s can rebuild structures and get all the stuff jus like boomer’s at woodstock. Just embracing their inner ‘exceptional’ child, and allergic to Ayn Rand for this very reason. Kind of cat in the cradle reminder just reiterating recent history with all the warts and pinmples.
